If you are entering Canada for business purposes then you must accomplish other documentary requirements depending on your proposed length of stay in Canada. Business visitors to Canada are classified either as short term or long term business visitors. Short term business visitors are those who plan to engage in international trade activities in Canada for not more than six month. Those who plan to stay longer than six months are considered long terms business visitors.
But you cannot just declare yourself a business visitor. To qualify under that category you must pursue an international business activity in Canada without any plans of working in Canada. You also have to prove that your principal area of business as well as your capital is sourced from another country and not Canada.
You can be classified as a business visitor if you intend to meet clients, conduct business and sales related services, purchase commodities in Canada or obtain some training in Canada. As a business visitor you are not allowed to sell goods or any of your services to Canada.
